British rock icon Rod Stewart has announced 2027 as the year of his final rock 'n' roll tour, titled The Final Encore Tour, following a series of health issues. The tour will include stops across the U.K. and Europe from April to July 2027, with additional U.S. dates planned.
Stewart clarifies he is not retiring but describes the tour as his last major live performance. In an Instagram video posted Monday, he stated: “After much deliberation and sadness, I have to announce next year will be my last tour ever, ever, ever. I’m not retiring, but this will be the last rock ‘n’ roll tour.” He thanked fans for their support and encouraged attendance, adding: “Please come out and see me on the tour. It’s going to be great.”

Stewart’s announcement follows health complications that disrupted his recent performances. In August, he abruptly canceled a Cincinnati show for a “minor medical procedure.” Days later, his team confirmed he underwent a routine coronary stent procedure at age 81. The procedure led to the cancellation of remaining tour and residency dates through September as he recovered. Doctors later reported satisfactory progress in his recovery.

The Final Encore Tour will begin in Ireland in April 2027 and conclude in Germany on July 24, 2027. Stewart also scheduled U.S. performances, including four shows in Georgia, Mississippi, and Florida in March 2027, and a two-night stand in Colorado in September 2027.
